DESCO maintains, as well as is the northeast affiliate of two national organizations and a partner in a third national organization. All organizations offer and extend DESCO's resources, management ability, training and excellence in service. DESCO was founded in 1970 as Diagnostic Equipment Service Corporation and was incorporated in 1975. DESCO presently employs 45 people, including 7 office staff, 33 field service engineers and specialists, 5 regional district and site managers.

Affiliations and Partners

MERA^® is an acronym for Medical Equipment Repair Associates. MERA^® provides Management Assistance, Technical Training, Consulting Services, and Manufacturer Representation throughout the USA. Bob Cecca, President of DESCO sits on MERA^®'s Board of Directors and is presently Chairman of the Board.

Patriot Medical Technology provides Clinical Engineering Management Services, Consulting Services, Full Asset Management of all Capital Equipment, Asset Management Training, and Technical Training. Patriot purchased Novare Services from the Catholic Health Initiatives and is rated as the third largest Asset Management Company in the country. DESCO maintains an exclusive affiliate status with Patriot throughout the Northeast.

Elite Support Group International accepted DESCO as a partner in June 2000. Through DESCO's Elite Division, DESCO maintaines ready access to training, parts and resources for large Chemistry and Hematology Analyzers located in the Clinical Laboratory.

Radiology Technical Services (RTS) was acquired by DESCO in 1999. RTS is a radiology servicing firm with a wide knowledge base located in the Hudson Valley area of New York State. DESCO's RTS Division is providing training and resources through the DESCO network.

Pace Medical Service is located in Florida. Pace allows us to extend our highly effective procedures and unparalleled professionalism across the entirety of the eastern seaboard.

Southeast Biomedical, our most recent acquisition has offices in Nashville, Tennesee; Memphis, Tennesee and Birmingham, Alabama. This merger helps strengthen DESCO's technical base by enhancing Blood Gas and Chemistry Analyzer capabilities.

All of the above affiliations further enhance DESCO's independent standing by offering a variety of resources and instant access to parts, manuals, training procedures and policies, the latest in management software and specialized equipment repair unavailable to competitors large and small.
